Toys as Socialisation Objects
A toy is one of the most effective learning tools every curious child needs to broaden his creative and imaginative horizons. It comes in a wide variety of colours, sizes, shapes, designs and styles. A common toy may appear in the form of a doll, a miniature, an action figure or a puzzle device. Toys are not only used as objects primarily for playing, they are even used by children to play and interact with another group of children. Whenever a boy with an action figure happens to meet another who has also has an action figure with him, the first thing the boy will possibly do is to tell the other one to play with him using their own toys. This scenario is one obvious example of children socialising with one another. Therefore, toys also serve as effective tools of socialisation for children.
